Research design.
We help you design your research.
What this covers
Research to evaluate impact of social interventions programmes under planning phase by the NGOs.
Caritas will design a research study to evaluate an NGO's social initiatives' impact on the beneficiaries. For example, if an NGO implemented an educational awareness drive to reduce menstrual hygiene related issues in young girls, we will help design an action-research based study to understand the impact and effectiveness of the awareness drive.
What a typical engagement looks like
From programme goals to an evaluable research plan.
- 01
Scoping
Understanding the programme, its theory of change, the specific decisions the research will inform, and any practical constraints (timelines, budget, access to beneficiaries).
- 02
Framing
Translating programme goals into evaluable research questions and indicators that genuinely measure what matters — not just what is easy to count.
- 03
Method choice
Matching the method to the question — action research, quasi-experimental designs, mixed-methods, or participatory approaches — with a clear rationale for the trade-offs.
- 04
Instrument design & handover
Building survey questionnaires, interview protocols, or observation frameworks, and handing the implementation plan to the programme team with training as needed.
